Rose State College is pleased to host the Arkansas-Oklahoma-Kansas section of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AOK-AAPT) 2008 annual meeting on Oct 31st – Nov 1st.
At the banquet/dinner on Friday October 31st, the Keynote Speaker will be Dr. William Sibley, CEO of the OCAST-OIT, the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology – Oklahoma Institute of Technology. His talk is titled “Meeting Challenges and Opportunities For Science and Engineering on Planet Earth”.
The featured guest speakers on the morning of November 1st will include Dr. Weldon Wilson, “Extraterrestrial Life, the Population Explosion, and Other Surprises From the Physics of Complex Systems”; Dr. Baha Jassemnejad,”Generation and measurement of Photons possessing Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM)”; Dr. Wei R. Chen,”Biomedical engineering approach for cancer treatment”; and Dr. Evan Lemley, “ABET Basics for Physics Programs”. Various papers, posters, demonstrations, etc. will also be featured at this event.
