SDE will host the State Superintendent’s Regional Curriculum Conferences:
- Tuesday, June 14, 2011: McAlester (SE) and Lawton (SW)
- Wednesday, June 15, 2011: Tulsa and Oklahoma City (OKC)
- Thursday, June 16, 2011: Miami (NE) and Woodward (NW)
This year, we have a call for proposals, and we invite you to send in a proposal form if you are interested in presenting at one or more of the conferences. On the Science webpage, http://www.sde.state.ok.us/Curriculum/CurriculumDiv/Science/default.html, you will find a link to the Regional Curriculum Conference Program Proposal Form. Please use this link to submit proposals to present at any of the six regional conferences. Compensation: The Oklahoma State Department of Education pays $300 per presentation to the lead presenter. This fee includes preparation time, travel, and printings cost incurred. This fee cannot be paid if you are a state employee or on contract with another organization (including school districts) on the day of the presentation. If you are invited to present at a regional conference more than 65 miles from your point of origin, your fee will increase to $350 to defray travel costs. If retiring, you cannot volunteer or present for 60 days after the last day worked.
Deadline for proposals is January 31, 2011.
