There’s a milestone in the making–it’s a million visitors or bust for the Oklahoma City Zoo. The Zoo is within thousands of reaching a million visitors for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, a first in our history. Now through June 30, guests are encouraged to visit the Zoo and be a part of the fun as we aim to hit the big #1 million. Who will be the millionth visitor to the Zoo? Is it you?
There’s a million ways to play at the Zoo every day and here are some of our favorites:
- Meet Malee our new elephant calf. The talk of the town, little Malee can be seen at the elephant habitat with her mom Asha and aunt Chandra from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and until 7 p.m. on Saturdays (weather permitting.)
- Oohs and ahhhs! The Zoo’s California sea lions will entertain guests of all ages during our regularly scheduled sea lion shows.
- Learn a wild tale or two about the Zoo. Reconnect with some of your favorite zoo memories such as Monkey Island and Judy the Elephant while discovering the new ZooZeum.
- The Zoo’s growing wild and as a fully accredited botanical garden there’s always something beautiful to see on the horizon. It’s an ever-changing safari sure to stimulate your flora senses.
- Explore the wonders of nature through play in the Children’s Zoo. See flamingos and monkeys. Plus, enjoy up-close interactions with barnyard animals and the ever-popular lorikeets!
